Colors of a Café

To stop and see the cheerful colors on display,
Lights in shadows and here are greeting cards,
A large cup of cold brew coffee to sip,
On a comfy little orange sofa to sit.
Music in the background a bit whimsical,
Time to get up, I'll put it off,
I won't be soon lifting any muscles.
Time in this moment will melt the ice cubes,
A summer's day away in a café,
People walking past at last without masks,
As the beat of joyous song hums overhead.
It plays in its simple carefree way,
Even when landlocked in the desert of Arizona,
The skies are as blue and clear as any bay.
