The Story of the Bluebird

A bluebird always wanted to see the snow so he decided not to fly south for the winter. All his friends told him he was crazy, but he told him them his mind was made up and he prepared himself for the coming months. When the first snow arrived he thought it was wonderful and brilliant and he wonder why he didn't try to do this sort of thing sooner. Then the was a blast from a cold front and the blue bird was having second thoughts and was scared that it was too late to follow his friends south. The next morning he took to the skies. His fear subsided and hope once again sang in his heart until his wings froze up and he crashed landed near a farm house. Slowly the lights started to dim and he knew his end was near. As he was taking stock of his life a cow shuffled next to him and dropped a load of manure on top of him. The manure was warm and invigorating and the blood in his veins began to flow again. In this blissed state he struck his head out of the manure and started to sing. Awaken from his slumber a burly barnyard cat followed the singing to the bluebird. The cat grabbed the bird, wiped it off in the snow and swallows it whole.

There are three lessons to be learned from this story:

1) Not everyone who craps on you is your enemy.

2) Not everyone who helps you out is your friend.

3) If you find yourself covered in crap up to your eyeballs it is best not to tell everyone where you are.
