Plot |
After a very tragic event Joao (Jean Reno) is in poor spirits until one day he finds a penguin in need of a lot of help. The penguin is covered with oil and he is in poor health, but Joao nurses him back into he is well enough to continue on his way, which happens to be a great distance, yet the surprising thing is he keeps coming back to Joao to visit and the story of this average small time fisherman and his penguin friend becomes a viral story, that is actually based on something that really happened. |

Character Development |
The Joao character does go through a good deal of soul searching and you can see him turning around from someone who looked lost to a person who was more hopeful. Just a little bit there and a little bit here, though it was happening. |

Acting |
The acting was believable and I didn't get the feeling that what I saw on screen was not happening. I not sure how much was digital or what was engineered, yet it was acted well and the shots with the penguin worked seamlessly with the humans on the set. |

Overview |
I enjoy watching the movies with Jean Reno and I believe I have not seen a movie that he has been in that I did not enjoy. In this film all the others actors acting at the same high level that Reno did. I cannot say there was a miss moment that I could point to and I really did find myself focusing on what was happening from scene to scene. The background of the sets were a delight to look at and there was just the right amount of drama mixed in to keep me interested. |
