Maxwell Blue's Oubliette:

Episode VIII: Trust In The Future

MOVIES STAR WARS Back to HOME PAGE

This might have been what is known as a poetic spin on what was happening. Everyone knows the future needs people who can't tell what makes a good movie like they need a hole in their head. Only about 10 percent of people read 1 book a year. The collective hope for the future is with those people that read. If only Rian Johnson read some source material of Star Wars he wouldn't have failed so badly. When you read you pick up on the tone of a story. Like a piece of music the elements need to be dialed in just right, but with The Last Jedi, there was no thought it how silly the tones got or how the overacting drew too much attention to it and how this didn't match the story that came before. It remains to be seen that much of what anyone knew they were doing was completely wrong. When writing for a project there can be a whole team of writers bouncing ideas off each other in a room, so many just don't know this, how writing is supposed to be an endless series of revisions and it doesn't seem possible that nothing can be learned from the legion of StarWars writers that have come before you. Question those that don't understand what makes a good story and more importantly weren't able to continue the story that was already told. Because when you are working on a series of comic books, TV shows or books you need to study the source of the base story well enough to carry on and be true to the characters. Star Wars has a very rich foundation. There are hundreds of stories written by dozens of writers. All you would have to do is pull a few books off the shelf, but Rian Johnson suffered from hubris a lot worst than the JJ. Maybe it matters more to those who have read a few books. Remember Starwars itself was constructed from many different parts and its heart is put together to follow a certain story, like a clock its gears turn in a certain way. If you break the clock it won't tell the time for you. A person could go on and on with breaking the parts down and I don't have to go any further than pointing out the length of this YouTube video, but all that really needs to be pointed out is the Critic Rotten Tomatoes score and the user score. It is clear that something is off and I don't believe it is how well this film is made, not when I am told that The Empire Strikes Backs is not the better film. Together we all have come walking in the future, some of us don't read and don't care how well even a simple Science Fiction story is played out, they follow lockstep with the majority of the professional critics who they call master. Because Social Justice is their Dark Side and the only proof I need to give you is that they cannot see past this controlling power.
