I takes a while to get back to sleep with all the yelling and fighting outside, but soon you are in dreamland where everything is pleasant and wonderful. You are in a green field and there is laughter and wine and women with music playing in the background from a live band. Then someone interrupts your slumber once again. "Lord Bowen!" Three men with swords drawn enter your room. "What is it?" You say annoyed that you are awake away from your dreams. "My commander would like a word with you." one of the men said. "If it is all the same to your commander, tell him I really need my sleep." "I am afraid that we insist that you come with us." "Oh, very well" you say leaving your room and going along with the men. You are taken to the courtyard where the bodies of your men have been piled up on the blood soaked ground. You especially take notice of the lifeless body of your sergeant of arms Henry Margust. You feel a little guilty wishing you had done more, if only you didn't need your sleep. There was a man that looked like he was in charge sitting at a makeshift desk in the middle of the courtyard. "If it isn't the legendary Bowen" he said. "When I asked your man Margust where you were before I killed him he betrayed that you were asleep in your room". "I had a long day." you said |
