Kill the old man and move on

You get off of your horse and draw your sword. The old man sees the gleam of your blade and makes a run of it. After a few feet he gets caught on some undergrowth and falls to the ground. He is spry for an old man, but he is no match for you. With ease you reach him and all the other has time for is to stand and this is when you strike with a quick lunge through his chest. The old man lets out a stifle scream and slides off of your blade. Then you wipe his blood off of your blade on the old man’s trouser and continue on your way.

You weren’t happy about it, but it needed to be done. No one can be left behind that can report your position. From the look of Margust’s face you can tell he had a different opinion. Henry Margust was a fair man and sometimes fairness can be a liability.

No one has anything to say as you slowly move toward the Halvata Mountains and then Stilgard changes course into the woodlands.

“Where are you going,” you ask.

“I am following the orb,” Stilgard explains “It is directing us in this direction.”

Soon they are in a clearing in the woods and in its center is a little wooden house.

“This is the spot.” Stilgard informs you. “The orb has stopped.”

“This cannot be the place,” Margust said. “There is nothing here.”

“I am here,” said a voice from the house. “I have summoned you.”

You dismount from your horse and walk toward the house. Inside you see a middle aged man in a black robe. “You will release your hold on the orb or I will run you through with my sword.”

“The Eye of Everlore,” The man in black said “It is powerful and so am I”

Kill this man before he wastes any more of your time.

Listen to what he has to say.
