Sep. 26, 2005 | New Post Office Planned in Sanad | |
Work on a modern post-office in Sanad begins soon, the Ministry of Works and Housing says. “The tender process has been completed and we expect to select the bid soon,” the acting director, projects and construction, at the ministry, Khalid Abdulrehman Al Shafe’ie, said. “We hope construction will begin in the next two months and the post office will be commissioned before the end of next year.” He said that the post-office, on a 569-square-metre plot, would be a two-storey building. “The ground floor will have customer service counters, offices of the head of the post office, an open hall and other administrative offices while the top floor will have space for 1,450 post boxes.” Al Shafe’ie said that the post office would meet a longstanding demand of Northern Governorate residents. |
