Their deeds of valor, glory, and gold,
Their reign, a time of peace, and bliss.

But in the shadows, truth did hide,
The wars, the strife, the blood they spilled,
The people's cries, their tears, their pride,
All swept aside, a tale fulfilled.

A false peace they did weave, a web of lies,
To mask the horrors of the past,
A fragile peace, a house of cards,
Built on a foundation that would not last.

For history, unlearned, is doomed to repeat,
The cycle of war, of pain, of defeat.
